Some thoughts on coaches (12.05.13)

Is it unusual that I have more than one coach? I work with David Tilbury-Davis from PhysFarm Training who oversees my triathlon training as a whole, and devises my bike and swim programmes; I work with Tim Armstrong who works with me specifically on the development of my running; I take physiology advice and guidance from St Mary's (University, Twickenham) and Jon Goodwin with regards to my strength and conditioning work; and recently I've just come back from Sedona where I was working with Darren Smith - mostly on my swimming. Does it sound complicated? It's not really....

Latest Scandal (18.02.13)

How lucky am I? It is two days until I climb aboard the boat bound for Melbourne. Ok, so it is a plane, the first of three that will see me arrive on Antipodean shores by Friday. Leaving the -5* and snow forecast here in France for a roasty toasty (+)28* sunshine. I tell you, it's been a while since I rode my bike outside and I can't wait!

Race #4: IM European Champs. Frankfurt (08.07.12)

At one point I could hear the media helicopter up above - not presuming it was for me but I still wanted to look up and wave, surely that's just instinct? I've not been in or around many helicopters and when one flies close above you it's pretty exciting and want to take a look right?.... Race #3: 70.3 UK (18.06.12)

Between Texas & 70.3 UK (11.06.12)

And POW! Back into training! Springboarding out of recovery from IM Texas and back into training for 70.3 UK and IM Frankfurt. No rest for the wicked.... In a couple of days time I'm going to head down to Exmoor National Park and go through my final preparations for 70.3 UK this weekend. British weather being what it is, I'll be packing pretty much every bit of kit I own for every climatic eventuality, booties, hat, gloves, sunscreen and mackintosh, I'll be ready.

Race #2: Ironman Texas (21.05.12)

Well incase you haven't already read it on my twitter or facebook page, communications media from tri247 and beyondgoinglong websites, the Sigma Sport, Drummond Clinic, St. Mary's University, Sailfish or Physfarm (see what I did there?); I've placed 4th female at Ironman Texas. Which I might add, I am chuffed to bits with.

Christmas Week (19.12.11)

Jingly songs and carols on the radio, we've had some snow, sprouts and satsumas feature in the grocery basket and there is a Norway spruce in the living room. It must be CHRISTMAS! Woo-hoo!
